Today, Sunday, is the day ”zero” before bauma, the world’s largest trade fair, opens its doors to the public tomorrow. But already today, Messe München where bauma takes place, was humming like a bee-hive – all exhibitors and of course also Zeppelin and Caterpillar colleagues were making last preparations.
We are ready, we are bauma, we are Zeppelin.
Zeppelin employees involved in the world’s largest trade fair have attended a crash-course on our portfolio and services. Around 700 colleagues – from many different locations – participated in a guided tour and listened to explanations on the various highlights Zeppelin and Caterpillar present at bauma. You could feel the excitement which lies in the air – everybody is getting ready and is looking forward to welcome visitors and customers!
The portfolio and services on display at bauma range from construction equipment, attachments and parts to technology and power systems. Moreover, the group learned about rental and project solutions. Although construction machinery is a day-to-day business for people at Zeppelin, we were deeply impressed by the sheer size and variety of equipment that is shown at bauma. Not only is the complete Hall B6 dedicated to our equipment, but we also show a lot in the outdoor area. Standing next to a 777 really makes you feel small… Considering that Zeppelin and Caterpillar fill ca. 13.000 sqm space at bauma, and that in Hall B 6 alone 75 km of cable and 63 truckloads of equipment were used, you get a feeling for the dimensions …
You also understand that the construction industry has fully arrived in the digital age. Practically all the equipment and machines can be connected and modern technology not only helps to minimize danger at construction sites, but maximizes our customers’ possibilities.
In the afternoon, all Zeppelin and Caterpillar colleagues were welcomed by Zeppelin’s and Caterpillar’s management – everybody is “hot” for the live show which starts tomorrow!
